数千年前、旧約聖書の時代、神の御前に出ることが唯一許されていた祭司たちは、幕屋というテントに入り神と交わっていました。Thousands of years ago, in Old Testament times, priests, who were the only ones permitted to be in the presence of God, entered the tent of tabernacles to commune with God.
そして人々の贖罪のため、動物を屠って祭壇で燃やし、その血と香と煙を天におられる神に捧げていました。They would slaughter animals and burn them on the altar and offer their blood, incense, and smoke to God in heaven for the atonement of the people.
しかし、ダビデ王は祭司にナイフの代わりに楽器を持たせ、それまではなかった即興的で霊に満ちた賛美様式を生み出し、麗しい神への誉め歌を捧げました。However, King David gave the priests musical instruments instead of knives and created an impromptu, spirit-filled style of praise that had never existed before, offering beautiful songs of praise to God
